Main Events of the Process

- Congress in honor of Cardinal Van Thuâ n on the occasion of 20th anniversary of his death.

- Annual commemoration of the death anniversary of Cardinal Van Thuân.

 - Participation of members of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, family and friends of Cardinal Van Thuân at the Audience of Pope Benedict XVI on the occasion of the opening of the preliminary phase of the Cause of Beatification.

 - Opening ceremony of the diocesan phase of the Cause of Beatification in the Vicariate of Rome.

- Solemn liturgical celebration on the day of the Privileged Burial in the Church of Santa Maria della Scala, Rome 

- Closing Ceremony of the Diocesan Phase in the Vicariate of Rome. The day was enriched with the presentation of the volume in Italian of the Pastoral Letters written by Cardinal Van Thuân in the diocese of Nha Trang and other activities. 

- The Eucharistic celebration as a Thanksgiving for the recognition of the heroic virtues of the Venerable Servant of God Cardinal Van Thuân.
